Payment & Cancellation Policy
Registration & Waivers
- All participants taking part in on-ice activities at Berger Foundation Iceplex (“BFI”) are required to have a completed participation waiver on file. Participants under the age of 18 must have a waiver completed by a parent or legal guardian.
- The DaySmart registration system only permits account holders to register themselves and eligible immediate family members connected to their account.
Drop-In Activities
Public Skate, Stick & Puck, Drop-In Hockey & Freestyle Sessions
- Sessions may be reserved online through DaySmart or purchased in person at the BFI Welcome Center.
- Prepaid reservations are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Punch Pass purchases are non-refundable.
- Session schedules, capacities, and availability are subject to change without notice.
- If a session is cancelled by BFI, participants will be offered either:
- A refund, or
- Account credit for the cancelled session.
Lessons, Classes & Camps
Learn to Skate, Learn to Play, Group Lessons, Skills Camps & Clinics
- Payment is due prior to the first class or session.
- BFI may offer up to two approved make-up classes per seven-week session, subject to approval by the Skating Manager and program availability.
- Credits, refunds, make-ups, or carryovers are not provided for missed classes, participant cancellations, or no-shows.
- If a program is cancelled by BFI, participants may receive:
- A partial refund for remaining sessions, or
- Account credit.
- Participant cancellations requested prior to the start of a session are:
- 100% refundable when requested at least 14 days prior to the first class
- 50% refundable when requested at least 7 days prior to the first class
- Cancellation requests must be submitted through Guest Services.
Adult & youth Hockey Rec Leagues
CVHL Adult & Youth Rec League
- Participants are responsible for the full season registration cost.
- Payment plans may be available through DaySmart.
- League registration fees are non-refundable once the season begins.
- If a season is cancelled by BFI, participants may receive:
- A partial refund for remaining dates, or
- Account credit.
Gift Cards
- All gift card sales are final.
- Gift cards are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Gift cards are not redeemable for cash except where required by applicable law.
Player, LEAGUE & SKATER PASSES
- Annual player passes, skater passes, league passes, and Punch Passes are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Birthday Parties, Events & Private Ice Rentals
- A deposit is required at the time of booking.
- Full payment may be required depending on the reservation type.
- Additional event-related charges incurred onsite are due on the day of the event prior to checkout.
- Event cancellations requested more than 10 calendar days prior to the event date may be eligible for up to a 75% refund.
- Cancellations made within 10 calendar days of the event are non-refundable.
- Additional cancellation terms may apply as outlined in the applicable rental or booking agreement.
Participant Conduct
All participants and guests are expected to follow all facility rules, policies, and instructions provided by BFI staff, coaches, Ice Patrol, and management.
BFI reserves the right to deny admission, remove, or suspend any participant or guest whose behavior is deemed unsafe, disruptive, abusive, threatening, intoxicated, or otherwise non-compliant with facility policies.
Participants removed from a program, session, league, or event due to misconduct or rule violations will not be eligible for refunds, credits, or transfers.
