Welcome to the Berger Foundation Iceplex Adult Hockey League
Whether you are new to the sport and looking to play hockey for the first time or have been playing for years and looking to play in an Elite level hockey league, Berger Foundation Iceplex has a hockey program or hockey league for you.
(CVHL) COACHELLA VALLEY ADULT HOCKEY Winter 2026/27
Winter Season October 18 – April 28, 2026 – with four divisions.
Season Sign Up:
All players are required to register individually prior to the start of the season.
CVHL operates under a pay-to-play structure (no team fees). Players must be registered and paid in full to participate.
All players must have a current USA Hockey membership to be eligible. A link to register with USA Hockey is provided below.
Mid-Season Full-Time Players:
Players interested in joining a team full-time after the season has started must contact Hockey@bergerfoundationiceplex.com for placement and registration.
Part-Time Player List:
Players may register as substitutes to be eligible for call-ups throughout the season. All substitutes must be pre-registered and approved prior to participation. Substitutes must hold a valid USA Hockey membership
Sub Fees
- Standard sub fee: $45 per game
- Discounted rate: $30 per game for players already registered full-time in the league

USA HOCKEY Membership
A current USA Hockey Adult Membership is required for all players participating in the CVHL Adult Rec League.
League Details
ALL LEAGUES ARE NON-CHECKING AND CO-ED.
Division 1 (OPEN)
Individual: $432.00 for the season (payment plan available)
Level: Advanced / Competitive
Highest level offered. Players typically have experience in travel, high school varsity, junior, or ACHA programs.
Format:
- 16 games total (14 regular season + 2 playoff game)
- All teams qualify for playoffs
Schedule: Mostly Wednesdays @ 8:00pm or 9:25pm, and a few Mondays @ 7:20pm or 8:45pm

Division 2 (North)
Individual: $432.00 for the season (payment plan available)
Level: Intermediate / Recreational Competitive
Designed for intermediate players with prior experience who want a competitive environment with balanced play.
Format:
- 16 games total (14 regular season + 2 playoff game)
- All teams qualify for playoffs
Schedule: Mondays @ 7:20pm, 8:45pm or 10:10pm

Division 3 (South)
Individual: $405.00 for the season (payment plan available)
Level: Novice to Intermediate
Designed for developing players who have foundational skills but are still building consistency and game awareness.
Format:
- 15 games total (13 regular season + 2 playoff game)
- All teams qualify for playoffs
Schedule: Sundays @ 7:30pm or 8:55pm

Division 4 (Beginner)
Individual: $405.00 per season (payment plan available)
Level: Entry-Level
Recommended for players who have completed Learn to Play or have limited game experience.
Format:
- 15 games total (13 regular season + 2 playoff game)
- All teams qualify for playoffs
Schedule: Sundays @ 4:40pm or 6:05pm

All leagues are non-checking and co-ed
USA HOCKEY
All players must be 18 years of age or older. It is required to purchase a USA Hockey membership. This membership fee is not included in your league fees – Register here

LOCKER ROOMS
Main locker rooms are co-ed for adult participants. A female-only locker room may be available upon request.
Locker room availability may vary depending on arena events and overall facility operations. While we do our best to accommodate all requests, locker room access cannot be guaranteed at all times.
REFEREES & SCOREKEEPERS
League hires certified on-ice officials. CVHL is operating under California Amateur Hockey Association guidelines.
CVHL always needs new referees – if you are a hockey player who cares about the game and wants a great part-time job, attend a Level 1 Seminar.
League utilizes arena employees as off-ice officials (scorekeepers). If interested, please email Hockey@bergerfoundationiceplex.com
Skate Sharpening
Need a sharper edge on your blades? Stop by the Welcome Center to drop off your own hockey skates to be sharpened for just $15. We cannot guarantee immediate turnaround for sharpening.
